The USDA approved and bio-based material Greenprene is the reason why this suit is completely free of neoprene. What is Greenprene, exactly? It is a sustainable material made from deproteinized natural rubber along with sugar cane, plant oils and oyster shells. But have no fear, Greenprene is super lightweight, stretchy, durable and even UV resistant. A recycled (from water bottles) Aqua-Silk fabric laminate provides a durable and Velcro resistant as well as fast-drying exterior while the recycled Bio-Span interior laminate is comfortable, stretchy and warm. Other great features include: durable sealed seams and kneepads, a full back zipper and it comes in a recycled cardboard box and is hand-wrapped in recycled paper. How cool, right?!
